@generalmotors needs a shot to make the @uaw.union pains in the asses disappear! GM & UAW failed to reach a deal by midnight last night forcing the first strike since 2007. As you all know we despise unions in our opinion unions are like leaches they’ve single handedly helped destroy businesses. However we’re also not siding with GM in this situation. It was the American Govt that bailed out GM when it went belly up and they thanked us by shutting down plants moving production over seas forcing thousands of Americans to lose their jobs. GM has shown profits of $35 billion and like any organized criminals (cough cough) we meant organized unions they want a bigger piece of the pie 🥧 and for GM to keep the 4 plants slated for closure open.
When you think of America, Apple pie, Stars & stripes and GM come to mind. So how can America’s largest car company employ less Americans than Ford & Chrysler?!? In our opinion GM should add new models to be built at the 4 plants slated to close and that should suffice for unions. They already have excellent pay plans, medical and all the perks like being able to buy any GM car below triple net.
This should be an interesting week. With production coming to a halt dealers can sure expect to see inventories take a hit depending on how long the strike lasts which will sure affect discounts (supply & demand🥴)
