I’ve lost the path, and I can’t quite remember where I was going... or why. But I’m okay with it, because the best stories involve getting a little lost. 👣 - Photo: @everchanginghorizon

Following the light. I love mornings like this one in Montana. They remind me that life doesn't need to be complicated. That it's the little things that make life big. Simple things. And there were a lot of those stripped-down moments in @visitmontana #ad I can still feel the cool water glide past my legs, the warmth of those first early morning sun rays, and the glow. Mostly the glow. #montanamoment #travelstoke @matadornetwork - photo: @everchanginghorizon

I’ve always wished there was a tent with a clear rainfly. That way you could snuggle up inside and watch the sky unfold from the comfort of your sleeping bag. 😌 At the same time, I kind of love the anticipation of opening up the tent door to check conditions. Feels like opening a present every time! But this particular day was one of my favorites. We got caught in a rain storm and visibility was next to nothing, so we set up the tent and watched a few episodes of The Office while we waited for conditions to clear up. After a couple hours I unzipped the tent and caught my first glimpse of this ridge line. Pretty sweet little surprise! 😋 ⛺️ 🙌 - Photos: @everchanginghorizon

Until a couple of weeks ago, I had never been camping on Washington's coast. I know. . . WHAT!? Beach camping out on the Olympic Peninsula is a right of passage in the Pacific Northwest, and the experience was nothing short of 😍. Just in case it's on your bucket list too, I wrote up a guide about my favorite beaches, and how to responsibly camp there. It's up on the blog now! - Camping out on the coast was a great reminder of why I like to spend as much time as possible outside during the fall. No more bugs, crisp air, and of course cooler weather. What's not to like! Especially when it means you get to layer up with @backcountry 's new fall lifestyle collection. I've been living in this Toad&Co Jumper Dress. I love that I can throw it on with a pair of boots, and a chunky sweater or T-shirt, and be set for a day on the road, or a night under the stars. ✨ Use JESS15 for 15% of your entire first Backcountry.com order! 🖤 (some exclusions apply). #backcountry #camping #findyourbackcountry # sponsored - Photo: @everchanginghorizon

From a favorite September in the past. Of all the seasons, I feel like fall is the most illusive. Like a mythical beast that might grace us with its colorful presence at any time, anywhere. Or then again, maybe not at all. I guess only time will tell! ☺️🍂🍁 - Photos: @everchanginghorizon

What do you want to be when you grow up? It's a simple question. Ask any little kid, and they won't hesitate to give you an answer. I know I always had an answer. But ask me that question now, and I'm no longer very sure. It's hard to remember who I was, or what I wanted before the world told me who I should be. I can feel little pieces of that clarity I had as a child returning when I'm out in nature. All the distractions and expectations quietly fade, and I'm able to see the forest past the trees. I don't have all the answers, but I know we should never stop asking ourselves those big questions. You may not want to be an astronaut or the president anymore. But whatever it is you wanted to be as a kid, there was a reason why. And that WHY is the key. - Photo: @everchanginghorizon

Everyone’s talking about how excited they are for chunky sweaters, dead leaves, and pumpkin spice lattes. And I’ll get there. I always do. But for now, I’m gonna keep chasing the sun, even if it’s just in photos. ☺️☀️ - Photos w/ @everchanginghorizon

Usually when I can’t think of much to say in a caption, I just don’t post! 🙈 But today, I’m way to excited that I finally finished my blog post about Austria: “Five Wild Places in Austria You Have to See to Believe. Sooo I’m posting anyway hehe. ☺️ I hope you enjoy it. Let me know if you have any questions! - Photo: @everchanginghorizon

Of all the places I’ve seen, this was the one I dreamt about the longest. And when everything went perfectly, I caught myself wondering if maybe that was it. What if I’d hit that point where nothing else could every possibly compare? Was I doomed to be disappointed with every destination, from here on out? Of course that was nonsense. And I’ve loved a million different moments in so many places since then. But geez that was a great trip. 💙💦 - Photo: @everchanginghorizon

I sat alone in my hotel room, on the other side of the world, scrolling through Instagram a few nights ago. The caption glowing on the screen in front of me was simple. It asked, “If you could go anywhere in the world right now... where would you go?” And for maybe the first time in my life, the answer was immediate. “Home.” I’m not sure why we often have to let things go to appreciate them. But if this vagabond lifestyle has taught me anything, it’s that Dorthy Gale was right, “there is no place like home.” Especially when it looks like this! 😍🙌 - Photo: @everchanginghorizon
