🚀#10YearChallenge for @aispacefactory? 😉⠀
⠀
TERA (left) and MARSHA (right) will be 3D printed habitats built by the winner of the NASA 3D Printed Habitat Challenge, @aispacefactory!

Which one do you prefer? Comment TERA or MARSHA below!

AI SpaceFactory is a startup doing amazing work to enable humans to live on other worlds. Here's an interesting quote from an interview between @aispacefactory CEO @david_malott and @space.bandits 👇⠀
⠀
"The biggest obstacle to building in space is that construction materials are extremely expensive to launch. At a cost of $100 million to land a 5-ton lunar payload, an average Earth home weighing 50-tons would cost one billion dollars and require 10 roundtrips to the Moon to deliver. For the same cost, we could land 50 robotic rovers and build a lunar village—if we learn to harvest materials from the surface."⠀
⠀
💬Excited? You can follow their progress on Instagram @aispacefactory, and watch them build TERA (TERestrial Analogue) later this year! 👏 You may also be able to try living in TERA, so make sure to check them out to learn HOW! 😍⠀

Aw it’s like choosing between my kids! Can’t do 😅

It would be far cheaper and more cost effective to focus on building #oniellcylinder habitats, not saying that colonising mars shouldn't happen, just that we should focus on industry in space outside of major gravity wells. Great insta though great visuals

Thanks! Can't wait to book a stay in TERA later this year 😃

Why is that a good design? Mars has extreme sandstorms and those storms can last for years. We need to build structures that are more single storied until we can fix that sandstorm problem.

If we keep destroying the earth like we are now, we don’t even have to ship it there, we’ll become Mars.

Imagine living on mars , I would miss earth and its beautys

Nope, this is not gonna happen in 2029

2029 is a lil too soon. I'm no sceptic but I feel that maybe it'll take 2 decades or more to start building anything on Mars. The current understanding of the surface is only limited to robots and satellites, unless humans are sent and actually made to investigate the surface, it'll be difficult to say until when we'd be there! But I'm hopeful! 💯❤️

I prefer the one with windows.

Hoe boreing would it b to live in mars

Cant wait for it 😍😍😍

We would deff need a different design, unless that were underground, to help with solar radiation and sandstorms

you try to travel to moon, then mars

We're excited to follow along! Great work!

Can there be Artificial gravity from the G's in the starship?
